we the effect of light/shade is some easy to learn

just imagine from where the brigthness come
afterward...you need imagine the body of the character and paint the zones exposed to the light, with a little and soft tone of color
and more behind of the body and the light you put more dark the color
little more and more...

thats is the technique i used all this time ^^
